About Alpaca Clothing

The Alpaca Clothing Company has risen out of an alpaca farm in the UK where we recognised the real potential of alpaca fleece in todays fashionable society.

We saw a need for a company to lead the way in helping people to benefit from such a wonderful product and to offer a wide variety of product and prices to make alpaca available to everyone and not just those who enjoy haute couture.

And so, we embarked on a search for the best suppliers we could find. Regretfully, we were unable to find many within the UK as the alpaca industry is only small over here and decided to make contact with some of the suppliers in Peru.

This gave us the best idea yet, alpaca is ecologically neutral and, therefore, we made our decision to only use fair trade suppliers ensuring that although we were having to import from Peru, we were at least giving the Peruvian people a fair deal.

The Quetchuan people live in such harsh conditions but, as alpacas owners, have given us such pleasure from these magical animals that we also decided to give 25% of all our profits to the Quetchuan Benefit, a charity set up to enhance and improve the life of the Quetchaun people.
